Located 21 kilometers from Bueng Kan, this spacious temple on the Mekong River houses Buddha image cast in bronze of Phra Phutta Khuwanan Satsada, replica of the famous Phra Phutta Chinnarat. During the rainy season, torrents swirl into a cone then breaks making a sound as if waters are seeping through rocks then disappear, happening all day long. Legend also has it that this is the sacred spot where the naga fireball occurs. In this temple also lies statue of goddess of the Mekong River’s navel, popular amongst locals who come to pray for fortune and love by lighting two joss sticks together with flowers, a garland, lipstick, perfume and women’s accessories.
